BEASTIN has teamed up with Stockholm-based Mankovsky Gallery for a limited-edition print run of two exclusive artworks from the label’s unique premium sportswear imagery. Dubbed ‘First Light’ and ‘Last Legs’ the photo series explores the topic of desirability across various stages of wear and tear on a shoe.
Deeply rooted in both basketball and the accompanying sneaker culture, BEASTIN has worked with long-time friend of the family Filip Gorski. A former basketball player himself, the autodidact photo- and videographer has captured some of the most sought-after silhouettes within the culture, each in its own unique setting.
This fine art edition is a giclée print on Hahnemühle 310gsm photo paper and only the finest pigment inks have been used to meet museum quality standards in terms of quality and age resistance. Every giclée print is produced by hand and signed by the artist Filip Gorski on an accompanying certificate of authenticity. The artwork is numbered accordingly on the front and stamped with embossing stamps from both BEASTIN as well as Mankovsky.
A red ink stamp, signed by hand by Mankovsky’s master print apecialist, is found on the back of every print and functions as final confirmation of finalized production. Each artwork comes packaged in a concrete grey velvet artist tube which is specially designed for each and every artwork in this edition. Only 50 artworks and 50 artist tubes will ever be produced.
Limited to 50 pieces worldwide, number 1 to 25 of each of the two artworks is available exclusively at BSTN while numbers 26 to 50 are offered via our partner Mankovsky. The limited edition prints will release on Saturday, March 19th, at 10am. Pick your favorite via the button below!
