Two stand-out pairs of the iconic adidas Crazy 97s are paying homage to a star-studded weekend in Cleveland twenty-five years ago. The timing of the release is carefully chosen as the 25th anniversary not only ties back to the festivities at Gund Arena, but with the NBA’s Top 75 roster being announced in 2022, a look back at the release of the Top 50 from 1997 is a nice additional touch.
The Silver / Black / Blue pair of the Crazy 97 combines the distinct look of 90s aesthetic and general EQT- and FYW-ness with the overall color scheme of the event. In addition, adidas is simultaneously releasing another one of its nostalgic basketball silhouettes from the early 00s. An integral part of the success story of one of the league’s unquestioned heavy-weights, this sneaker carries equally as much heritage as the other two models of this week’s release.
