Throughout its glorious history, the Air Force 1 has been a part of as many iconic pop culture moments as it has delivered distinct color-ways. Ironically though, one of the silhouettes all-time classic color combination — a black upper sitting atop all-black mid- and outsoles highlighted only by a bright white swoosh — has not hit retail shelves in decades. Well … damn!
The black/white-black edition of the Air Force 1 is returning for the first time in a long time on September 28th. Aside from a few minor differences such as the woven loop label on the tongue and stitching details around the swoosh, the 2019 retro is as close as it gets to the original worn by Ice Cube aka. Craig Jones in the cult movie Friday in 1995.
