BSTN’s European Basketball Heritage Series is a celebration of the unique local hoops cultures and a humble tribute to those, who were essential in creating them. For the third chapter of the series, we created a limited-edition version of the adidas Rivalry 86 Low that is dedicated to the most successful basketball club in European history: Real Madrid.
The adidas Rivalry Low ‘Real Madrid’ by BSTN is draped in luxurious cream leather with rolled edges and a complete leather lining. The lateral BSTN Brand logo as well as the medial three stripes are made from UV-reactive material, unveiling a royal shade of purple when hit by sunlight.
Real Madrid’s iconic crest resides proudly on the tongue tabs, with branding and color treatment continuing on the purple insoles. Laces come with metal tips, while additional collaborative branding can be found on the heels. Rounding out the pair is special packaging that boldly features eleven stars, one for each European title the franchise has won.
The collaborative capsule collection releases alongside a limited-edition coffee-table book featuring conversations with current and former greats of Los Blancos with original artworks and portraits that capture the unique characteristics of the eleven-time EuroLeague champions. An in-depth look at the most successful basketball team in European history on 160 pages.
