Following collaborative pairs with Awake and A Ma Maniére, Jordan Brand joins forces with Parisian sneaker boutique Opium for a fresh take on the Air Ship silhouette. Drawing inspiration from both his Airness’ and Opium’s history, the result is best of both worlds:
The Jordan Air Ship SP x Opium Paris boasts a color palette featuring Sail, Blue Chill, Black and Court Purple across the pair’s leather upper. The colors nod to a certain basketball team from Charlotte with ties to Jordan, while the shoes’ mosaic pattern on the heels are inspired by traditional Zellige glaze tiles from Morroco – an homage to the Morrocan-French heritage of Opium Paris founders Mounir and Yace. Tongue tags reading ‘Designed in Charlotte’, and the debossed Opium graffiti logo on the lateral ankle round out the pair.
