Continuing our collaborative efforts to kick off the season, BSTN has teamed up with FC Bayern Basketball and adidas yet again for a collaborative capsule that introduces the team’s 3rd kit for the 2024/25 campaign and hand-picked apparel pieces to match: The Garden collection.
While FCBB’s home and away uniforms stay true to the team’s traditional colors of red and white, the latest jersey – in true 3rd kit fashion – opts for a more colorful approach while maintaining its connection with the local roots of the franchise. The collaborative design boasts head-turning shades of green and a bold reptile pattern, inspired by Podarcis muralis (lat. for the German ‘Mauereidechse’), a lizard native to the Munich area.
The Garden – the brand-new home arena of FC Bayern Basketball and the collection’s namesake – opens its doors for the first time on October 3rd when the reigning German champion takes on Real Madrid to kick off the new EuroLeague season. Located at Munich’s iconic Olympic Park, the newly built stadium with its signature green grass roof will host key home games of FCBB across domestic and international competitions.
Joint not just by their Bavarian heritage but also by their shared passion for the game of basketball, FC Bayern Basketball, adidas, and BSTN drew inspiration from the natural beauty of the nearby Alps. The pattern of the European wall lizard, a reptile species indigenous to the area, adds a distinct local twist to the collection as it is found in shades of green, brown, and grey on the newly designed jerseys, warm-ups, and other premium sportswear pieces.
In addition, ‘The Garden’ collection also includes a special edition of the all-new adidas Dame 9 basketball performance shoe that debuts alongside the apparel pieces. Built on a crisp black and white upper, the NBA All Star’s ninth signature shoe also features the collection’s distinct reptile pattern in rich shade of emerald green.
The entire ‘The Garden’ collection, including the FCBB 3rd kit, the adidas Dame 9, and the accompanying apparel and accessories, debuts at an exclusive pre-release event at BSTN’s Munich flagship store and at BSTN.com on Saturday, September 28th, followed by a global release on Monday, September 30th.
As a special bonus, event attendees will receive a pair of a limited-edition ‘The Garden’ version of the adidas Crazy 8 Low with every flocked jersey purchased at the BSTN Munich store that day. This friends & family edition is available in limited quantities and only while supplies last.
