Honouring both the legacy of his Airness and the infamous ‘Fear Pack’, the Air Jordan IV ‘Fear’ finally releases for only the second time in over a decade – and once again is inspired by all the things that may keep you up at night.
Similar to the first pair, which was released as part of 2013’s ‘Fear Pack’, which in turn drew inspiration from the ‘Becoming Legendary’ commercials starring MJ himself, the message of the OG Fear Pack endures: overcoming fears and aspiring for greatness.
This credo is eternalized via the Michael Jordan quote “I’m scared of what I won’t become. You’re scared of what I could become.” on the insoles, while the pair’s colorway also stays true to its predecessor: Black, white, hues of Pure Platinum, and Cool Grey on the pair’s nubuck build, accompanied by speckled midsole for a clean, classic look.
Talking about the shoes’ shape though, the new AJ IV ‘Fear’ – unique from its first release – are made to the exact fit, feel and shape of the original AJ IVs that released in ’89. Like taking a walk in MJ’s shoes, so to say, or at least what may come closest to it.
