Jordan heritage runs deep in New York City, with Brooklyn being the birthplace of a certain MJ, and the second installment of Jordan Brand’s collab with Awake NY celebrates the undeniable link between Jordan’s roots and what the eponymous brand has grown to be. Accompanied by matching apparel – including a heavy-wearing varsity jacket – the capsule centers around royalty:
The Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship ‘Game Royal’ boasts a colorway of Sail, Metallic Platinum, and eponymous Game Royal. The leather upper is clad in Sail, while the Swoosh comes in Metallic Platinum with trims in Game Royal which can also be found on the faux snakeskin ankle collars. On the left heel’s ankle collar, the pair swaps the traditional ‘Nike Air’ insignia for Awake NY branding. Lateral ‘A’ embroidery, the iconic Wings logo, and a vintage-style midsole atop a gum rubber outsole round out the pair.
