To finish off the 35-year anniversary of the original launch of the Nike Dunk, the Swoosh is bringing back an all-time classic of this historic silhouette: The Dunk High Varsity Maize/Black. In true spirit of the original add campaign, this Dunk represents the core idea of what this trailblazing release in 1985 was all about: Basketball team colors by Nike.
The black and yellow color scheme is the perfect embodiment of the legendary Be True To Your School campaign, as it not only served as a stand-out design in itself but also worked for a multitude of traditional college athletics powerhouses like West Virginia, Missouri, Iowa or Wake Forest.
