For the highly anticipated release of the Air Jordan XI ‘Legend Blue’, we’re explicitly breaking with the common practice of ‘one to rock, one to stock’ by putting the latest Jumpman retro release on ice – in the most literal sense of the word.
Building on BSTN’s well-established tradition of not just putting the pedal to the metal for Jordan XI releases but to also include fans of the silhouette from beyond the basketball court, the campaign is headlined by German international Leroy Sané, the FC Bayern München winger and professed Jumpman aficionado.
BSTN partnered with FAT International Racing, a leading voice in the contemporary motorsports landscape, to create a custom Porsche 911 Dakar that matches the Legend Blue’s iconic color scheme.
From the characteristic icy-blue tint of the translucent outsole to the classic checkerboard pattern of the carbon fiber plate, multiple key features of the Air Jordan XI have found their way onto the bespoke sportscar design. Custom-tailored down to a tee, the one-of-a-kind paint job pays homage to sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield’s iconic creation and the buzz it caused during its debut in the 1996 NBA All Star Game.
To bring the campaign full circle, BSTN and FAT International are taking the Air Jordan XI to the polar opposite environment of its original release under the Texas sun by entering our jointly-created Porsche 911 Dakar in the 2025 edition of the legendary Ice Race.
