For what turned out as arguably the greatest NBA season of all time, oddsmakers projected the heavily favored 95-96 Bulls to win 70 games. However, the Chicago squad went out and managed to even smash those lofty expectations by finishing the season with the unprecedented record of 72-10.
Having worked his way back into basketball shape after one and a half years away from the game, Jordan was back to his dominating self, finishing the season with averages of 30, 6 and 4 … on 49% shooting and 43% from three, mind you.
During the Playoffs, a fairly brief 15-3 affair for the victorious Bulls, Jordan upped his minutes to 41 per game while keeping his formidable stat line virtually the same (30, 5 and 4 on 46% and 41% respectively).
During this dominating run, he relied on the infamous Jordan XI ‘Concord’ during the regular season before switching to the eleven’s equally admired ’Bred’ or ’Playoff’ for the post-season.
The newly-created Air Jordan XI Low Gym red combines these two iconic color-ways by fusing the Concord’s black and white upper with the translucent red outsole of the Bred. The all-new low top releases in a full family size-run — including Mens, GS, PS, and TD — at BSTN on Saturday, May 23rd, at 9 am CET.
