The LA-based designer has joined forces once again with Jordan Brand and reimagines the Air Jordan XIV with jade-inspired elements and pays tribute to her filipino and black roots.
Aleali May fifth Jordan sneaker collaboration comes dressed in Light Sand suede with a marbled jade green accents on the midsole and lip of the tongue. Additional details include a black sockliner and laces and a metallic gold support plate underfoot. The shoe comes packaged in a mint green special box with May’s signature and branding along with gold foil wrapping paper.

In celebration of the upcoming release, May shared through a campaign video the inspiration behind her latest design. “Throughout my collaborations, I always try to go back and say thank you to whoever was supporting me at the time,” May shared with Jordan Brand in an interview. “My grandmother on my dad’s side gifted me gold and jade bangles that she’d had for 20 years before that. As a young girl, my grandmother on my mom’s side also gifted me her jade bangles. Those were my first pieces of jewelry.”
