As part of its Alpine Basketball collection, the BSTN Brand teams up with Komono for a modern interpretation of an Alpine essential: Glacier glasses. Together, the Belgian accessories label and the German sportswear brand created an eye-catching pair of sunglasses that boasts a bold look with a chunky, yet classic frame.
While the glasses are fully functional – thanks to polarized lenses offering 100% UV protection – they are equally suited for active or casual wear. That’s why each pair comes with a set of clip-on side shields, a true mountaineering staple that’s optional in everyday wear.
The aptly named ‘The Glacier’ model was specifically designed by the Antwerp accessory manufacturer for its collaboration with the BSTN Brand’s re-launch campaign dubbed ‘A New Spark’. Branding is kept to a minimum, with only a subtle metal plate featuring the BSTN Brand logo that is found on each side.
The Komono x BSTN Brand ‘The Glacier’ sunglasses are made from 100% recycled acetate and are available in three color combinations: Black/Black, Cuban Barrel/Blue, and Sun Tan/Light Brown. Each pair comes with a soft-shell case and a unique specs cloth with an Alpine motive, both of which are made entirely from recycled plastic.
Starting on Saturday, October 8th, the three colorways of the Komono x BSTN Brand ‘The Glacier’ will be available online, at the BSTN stores (Munich & Hamburg) and the Komono Stores (Amsterdam, Antwerp, Brussels), as well as at selected retail partners.
