From one generational Bruin to the next generation: The all-new BSTN Brand x Reebok Question Mid pays tribute to the timeless mystique of amateur athletics while honoring two-sport high school phenom Allen Iverson as well as the current Bethel High Bruins.
Dressed in the school’s signature combo of green and gold, the limited edition collab drew its inspiration from Iverson’s standout high school accomplishments, a lesser-known but not less impressive chapter of The Answer’s career that came before the global attention, the spotlight of an NBA journey that ended the HOF and his iconic line of signature shoes. They are, in short, for the love of the game.
Shot at Allen Iverson’s alma mater (and Aberdeen Elementary) in Hampton, VA, the BSTN Brand x Reebok Question and its campaign highlight The Answer’s stellar achievements, both as a basketball and as a football player, and is starring the school’s current class of athletes who were the first to receive the exclusive pairs.
In true BSTN fashion, the Question Mid is studded with elaborate details, the most prominent of which are found on the heel. As an homage to Allen Iverson’s excellence as a high school athlete, both of his jersey numbers – the #3 he wore on the hardwood floor and the #10 he donned on the gridiron – are each embroidered on one of the shoes, sitting right below a patch of basketball and football jersey fabric, respectively.
While the rubber gum outsole screams 90s nostalgia, the BSTN Brand x Reebok Question boasts many hidden details – including dual logo branding on the lace loops and an additional pair of laces – that set this collaborative edition apart from other releases.
The crisp white upper mixes full grain and tumbled leather with a distinct toe cap made from rich green nubuck. Green and gold, the colors of Bethel High School, are found throughout the shoe including on various logo brandings and on the laminated two-tone binding on the tongue.
The BSTN Brand x Reebok Question releases on Friday, April 28th, exclusively at BSTN. Pick up your pair via the button below!
Special thanks to principal Saunders and his staff, AD DeRocke Croom and the coaching staffs, and the Bethel Bruins basketball and football teams!
