Rooted in New Balance‘s running heritage, the color grey has become a staple for the brand as in the 70s, runners in the city did not want to get their predominantly white running shoes dirty. Meanwhile, the color grey has become a mainstay within the New Balance lifestyle portfolio as well, celebrated annually during the Grey Days each May.
While a lot of ideas can be perceived conceptually as black and white, the proverbial grey areas not only indicate an active balance of the two but most importantly represent an environment of creative exploration and artistic self-expression. For the 2024 Grey Days celebration, BSTN teamed up with longtime family friend Serious Klein, who explores the theme through his own unique lens.
