THATBOII‘s latest collection dubbed Tour de Munich is heavily influenced by BMX riding and the culture around it. Fittingly, the brand’s collaborative efforts with KangaROOS are centered around converting the Ultralight, a handball silhouette debuted in the 1980s, into a BMX-inspired rendition that’s reminiscent of THATBOII founder Chelo’s youth.
The sneaker’s Street 355C title is composed of a discipline within freestyle BMX riding, paired with its limited edition run of 355 pairs produced and a one-letter nod to the project’s designer.
What first came into my mind was a BMX shoe, but it also is an absolute all-rounder and it works with many different outfits. For me, the most important thing was to create a shoe that I can wear together with many looks and that I can rock every day.“
