In celebration of one of the most iconic silhouettes in Nike’s extensive lineup of classics, BSTN and Gurlz With Curlz hosted a skate sundowner event on a rooftop in the heart of their hometown for roller disco fans and members of the community.
In addition to the one-of-a-kind location high above the city of Munich, guests were treated to one-of-one roller skate editions of the legendary Nike Cortez that were created specifically for the event.
The Rooftop Rink marked the follow-up event to the initial editorial photo shoot BSTN has teamed up for with fellow Munich residents Gurlz With Curlz. The photo series and the skating session both link back to the roller discos of the late 80s – a huge hit at the time of the Cortez‘ original release in California – as a place for self-expression and creativity, especially for members of the Black community.
