Welcome to an exclusive behind-the scenes look at the GORE-TEX headquarter: BSTN was invited to Feldkirchen, Bavaria, to witness the high-quality testing of our upcoming footwear collaboration in the sacred halls of the company that has devoted itself to protection from the elements since 1958.
From initial innovation in the labs through to demanding real-world situations, as in “let a walking simulator march a pair of shoes in a water bath at hundreds of thousands of steps” the GORE-TEX team runs rigorous tests at every stage of the process. And while lab tests are great, only people can judge how products work, wear, and feel comfortable: that’s where additional human performance joins the conversation, enhanced by comprehensive testing in the field.
