The Union LA x Nike (Un-)Cortez celebrates 50 years of the Cortez: After the sought-after ‘Sesame’ and ‘Off-Noir’, the two final colorways join in to reimagine the silhouette as an expression of L.A.’s cultural diversity with subtle yet impactful updates paying tribute to the vibrancy of Angelenos and the rich history the iconic-runner-turned-cultural-icon has within the ‘ciudad de Los Ángeles’.
Instead of the Cortez‘s traditional leather build, bright suede overlays and canvas underlays cover the Union x Nike Cortez ‘Lemon Frost’ and the ‘Smoke Grey’. The colourful multi-color canvas bear resemblance of South-American patterns, while Union tags, the label’s signature Frontman logo on the heels, and co-branded cork insoles atop Crater Foam soles round off the design.
